O’Hehirs will be at the finish line to welcome home almost 3,000 participants in the Run Galway Bay event on October 1st.
They will provide a mouth-watering selection of cake slices to suit every palate, including Lemon and Blueberry Cake, Carrot and Walnut Cake, Wild Berry Crumble and their devilishly delicious Double Chocolate Fudge cake. The friendly team from O’Hehirs will also be ready with warming teas and coffees for all the runners.
The Run Galway Bay Half Marathon, Marathon and 10K is a major running event in the City. The event sets off with a great buzz from the former fishing village, the Claddagh, and brings participants along a fast, flat course through the heart of the seaside resort of Salthill and along Europe’s longest promenade that hugs the world famous Galway Bay. Offering panoramic views of the Burren in County Clare across the Atlantic waters of Galway Bay, participants are left with a dramatic sense of life, energy and West coast memories.
